News from B&K about the brand merging with ATI:
1) What are ATI’s plans for B&K?
We are going to continue the brand and most of the products. Next, we will develop new products such a stereo preamp, Blu-Ray player, new higher-end power amps, etc. ....
2) Are you going to change the current designs?
We know many of you are fans of MOSFET power amps, and ATI will continue to make power amps of that design for the B&K components brand.
3) I have an older product that needs service, who do I contact?
Eastern Elite Audio Video is set up as the exclusive service center for all out-of-warranty repairs. They are former B&K employees, so they know the products thoroughly. E-mail: george@ee-av.com or call: 716-240-7458 .
4) I have a B&K product under the original warranty that needs repairs, what do I do?
We plan to honor outstanding B&K warranties where possible. Three potential problems that may prevent us from properly repairing some models: we don’t get the technical information we need to make the repair, or the parts are no longer available, or the problem is software related, and we don’t have the source code. We expect to be able to handle warranty repairs starting Jan 1, 2011, so please contact us then at 818-343-4777 . This may not be the answer you wanted, but it’s the reality. Please be patient; buying a company’s assets and getting it going again is always messy, no matter how well you plan for it. As we get up-to-speed with the products, the process will become much easier and faster.
